Referral!

We got the call at 2pm today. After a long agonizing wait we finally have a daughter. We will get the complete package on Thursday and post her pictures and all the other important stuff. If all goes well with the rest of the paperwork, we really will bring home a very special Christmas present!

We're next!

LIDs are up to 2/9/06. It took six months just to get through the month of January 06. That was painful. According to our agency, we are in the next group. We could get our referral in October! If that's the case, we will likely travel in November or December. It would be great to bring home our own little Christmas present from China.

In the meantime, the kitchen needs to be finished so we can put the house back together and get ready for this little girl!

Even closer

Well, we are closer than we've ever been! I know I've said that over and over again in the last 2 1/2 years but, really!

The August referals are up to January 31st. I suspect the Olympics have slowed things down a bit in China. We probably won't make the September referal group (our LID date is 2/15/06), but October is looking very likely for us. Our agency did not have any families in this last group, so there's no update from them.

Kitchen is almost done - 2 more weeks! John's Suprise Party was a big hit!

Inching Along

The rumor is that June's LID's will be through 1/22/06. This means we could possibly get our referral in July or August! I'll believe it when I see it. In the meantime, if we really are that close, I thought I would practice attaching photos to this thing. So here's our goofy dog Ozzie on a timeout (really he's chasing a laser pointer).
